John W. Foley

Mr. Foley, 85, of Freehold, formerly of Bayonne, died Feb. 3, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was employed by the City of Bayonne in the Maintenance Department. Prior to that, he was employed by J&L Steel in Bayonne. Mr. Foley was a U.S. Navy veteran of WorldWar II. He was predeceased by seven brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Foley of Freehold; two sons, John Foley of Manalapan and James Foley of Aberdeen; a daughter, Diane Damato of Bayville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Trojanowski of Old Bridge. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, Farmingdale, followed by interment in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County. Arrangements were by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
