The Madison Park Girls Softball League has announced its final in-person registration dates for the 2012 softball season. Registration will take place on Feb. 10 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Park Little League Field House. The Field House is located on Cheesequake Road in the Parlin section of Old Bridge, behind the Madison Park Firehouse. The league has four divisions of play: T-ball (ages 5-6), Gidgets (ages 7-9) Juniors (ages 10- 12) and Seniors (ages 13-17). The league has been providing girls softball programs in Old Bridge for over 40 years. New players should provide a copy of their birth certificate. Registration fees are $100 per player, or $135 per family. No work bond is required. Applications will be accepted by mail until the teams are drafted at the end of February. The Sayreville Leprechauns Football and Cheerleading Association will hold registration for the 2012 football and cheer season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 18, March 10 andApril 14 at the Mickey Sedlak Civic Center, Donlan Street, Sayreville. Registration is open to boys and girls ages 5-15 by July 31. Fees are $85 for one child and $135 for two or more children, plus an additional $200 work bond and a $125 equipment/uniform deposit. Registration after June 1 will be assessed a $15 late fee. Families who own their helmets should bring them to sign-ups, to be sent out for repainting at no charge. A copy of the child’s birth certificate and a recent photo (no sports or cheer) are also required. The cost of a football jersey, which will be sized at registration, is additional. The Sayreville Athletic Association is holding registration for boys baseball and girls softball every Saturday in February from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the trailer off Woodland Avenue in the Morgan section. For more information, visit www.sayrevilleaa.com. Any girl who registers before February 19 will receive a free entry into the clinic being offered by the Explosion travel softball coaches. Sayreville Little League will be holding registration for the 2012 season on Feb. 15 from 6-8 p.m.; Feb. 17, 6-9 p.m.; and Feb. 25, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., all at the Mickey Sedlak Center on Dolan Street. There will also be registration on March 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Little League Clubhouse on Margaret Street. Any registration taken after March 3 will be subject to a $50 late fee. Registration is for boys and girls ages 4-15. Registration fees are $100 for one child; $165 for two children; and $215 for three or more children. There is also a $200 work bond due at time of registration.
