Old Bridge
Old Bridge Old Bridge High School’s girls were fourth at GMCs and the boys were seventh.
The Knights did have one GMC champion in high-jumper Oksana Sokolova. Her winning jump was 5-2. She was the only jumper over 5-0 at the competition.
Selene Nelson led the shot put after the qualifying round with a 31-2 toss. She didn’t improve on that in the finals and finished fourth. Cassidy Flynn-Rozanski finished second in the 3,200-meter run, clocking 11:42.61. Alyssa Kramer was sixth in the 800 (2:26.62) for the Knight girls.
The top finish posted by the Old Bridge boys was a third place in the 800 meters by Taylor Casserly (2:03.2). Teammate Ryan Colon was fifth (10:07.02). Alex Leto was fifth in the 400 (52.01), and Bilal Salama was fifth in the shot put (46-0).
