      The Old Bridge Girls Soccer League fall registration for girls ages 3½ to 18 (pre- K to 12th grade) began June 1. A discount rate will be in place through Aug. 1. After Aug. 1, players will be accepted at a nondiscounted rate. For more information visit www.gslob.com.

      Registration is under way for the SayrevilleAthleticAssociation’s 2010 fall baseball season. Beginning in September, two games per week will be scheduled for a total of approximately 12 games. Registration fees are $60 for one child, $90 for two children, and $110 for three or more children. The fee includes the uniform (hat, longsleeve jersey and pants), playoffs and a pizza party.       The Sayreville Athletic Association will hold in-person registration for the fall baseball season from 10 a.m. to noon July 31 at the Morgan Complex Trailer on Woodland Avenue in the Morgan section of Sayreville. The season will begin the second week of September and run through the month of October. Two games per week will be scheduled for a total of approximately 12 games. Registration includes uniform (hat, long-sleeve jersey and pants). A work bond is not required. The league is open to regular season recreation teams or individuals.       A new 13-and-under travel baseball team is forming in the Old Bridge area and is seeking players age 13 as of April 30, 2011. In order to maximize playing time, the roster will be limited to 12 committed players. The team will play fall ball, have winter training, and participate in a spring travel league and in one or two tournaments.       Those interested in becoming a certified basketball official for high school, middle school or recreational leagues can sign up for the Central East Jersey Basketball Officials’ yearly training class to be held Sept. 14 at East Brunswick High School, 380 Cranbury Road. Any male or female, 18 or older by the end of the year, can register for the class, which will take place 7-9 p.m. on most Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the middle of November.
