Free dental care to be offered for kids in need OLD BRIDGE — Doctors Cavan Brunsden and Nancy Villa of KIDZDENT, at 2455 Route 516, will participate in the “Give Kids a Smile” program, offering free preventive and emergency dental care for children ages 12 and under. The one-day “Give Kids a Smile” event will take place on Feb. 5, during National Children’s Dental Health Month, and is part of the American Dental Association’s annual push to bring attention to the No. 1 childhood disease — tooth decay. The program, which is in its eighth year, is hoped to touch the lives of many of New Jersey’s disadvantaged children who need oral health care. According to KIDZDENT, children who come to the office on Feb. 5 will receive a comprehensive dental examination, oral healthcare instruction, fluoride treatments, radiographs and free dental hygienematerials including toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss. In addition, emergency dental care will be provided where necessary. Last February, nearly a half million children in the United States received more than $50 million in dental care at more than 4,600 sites nationwide as a result of the “Give Kids a Smile” event. KIDZDENT can be reached at 732-679-2323 or www.kidzdent.com for more information. For other participating locations, log on to NJDA.org, click on “Public” and then “Give Kids a Smile.” |
