      Lawrence R. Minch
            Mr. Gross, 86, of Toms River, died Nov. 12, 2009, at Van Dyke Hospice, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Old Bridge for 30 years, prior to moving to Toms River in 1985. Prior to his retirement in 1984, he was an office manager for Western Electric, Kearney. His wife, Elinore Minch, and a son, Glenn L. Minch, predeceased him.

      Georgelio Lucas
            Mr. Lucas, 56, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 9, 2009, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was the co-owner of Bell Concrete, Freehold, where he worked for more than 20 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexandre and Maria Rosa Costa Lucas; a sister, Maria Silva; and a nephew, Manny Silva.

      Therese "Tracy" Breton
            Ms. Breton, 43, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 5, 2009, in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Breton. Surviving are her mother, Patricia Breton; two sons, Buddy James and Brandon Patrick Ware; a brother, Ronald; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River.

            Ms. Shepard, 19, of San Francisco, died Oct. 28, 2009, in Bakersfield, Calif., as the result of injuries sustained in a motor-vehicle accident.

      Josephine Wielgolinski Slezak
            Mrs. Slezak, 86, of Helmetta, died Oct. 28, 2009, in Samaritan Hospice, Mount Holly. She was employed as the bookkeeper for J.W. Helme Co., Helmetta, in the 1960s and 70s. Her husband, Joseph, died in 2007, and a daughter, Mary Balbina, died in 1955. Surviving are a son, Leon, and his wife, Joanne, of Moorestown; and a grandson, Joseph.

      Miriam R. Thomas Ellison
            Mrs. Ellison, 82, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Nov. 3, 2009, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Roy; a son, Robert R. Ellison, and his wife, Linda, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a sister, Kathleen Justus of Largo, Fla.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

            Mr. McCarty, 51, of Old Bridge, formerly of South River, died Oct. 31, 2009, at home. He was employed as a security-alarm monitor technician for the past four years with Protection One Security, Wall. Before that, he worked at STS Auto Center, East Brunswick, and Wawa, Old Bridge. He was predeceased by his father, John McCarty.

            Mrs. Wiget, 76, of Keyport, died Oct. 21, 2009, at home. She had resided in Laurence Harbor before relocating to Keyport 15 years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Wiget was a custodian for the Old Bridge School District. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Wiget.

      Anthony John Navickas
            Mr. Navickas, 80, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 1, 2009, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He began his career as a teacher with the East Brunswick school system in 1956, teaching classes in social studies, math and science, serving as a guidance counselor and eventually serving as principal of East Brunswick High School.
