S. Vincent Guido

Mr. Guido, 77, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 17 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Katherine Devine Guido; a son, Kenneth; a daughter, Kathy Moran Abbot; a brother, Paul Vincent; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Gate of Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.

Francine C. Russo Bailey

Mrs. Bailey, 56, of Old Bridge, died Dec. 3 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her father, Salvatore Russo, died in 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Bailey of Old Bridge; her mother, Sarah DeLorenzo Russo of Clifton; a brother, Jay Russo, and a sister, Maryann Franco, both of Clifton. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.

Helen McNicholas Berger

Mrs. Berger, 78, of Old Bridge, died Dec. 4 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Berger; a son, James Berger; and a daughter, Maryann Berger. Surviving are four sons, Terry and Michael, both of the Basking Ridge section of Bernards, Timothy of Ramsey and John of Boston; a brother, John McNicholas of New York; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Victoria E. Daly

Mrs. Daly, 71, of the Navesink section of Middletown, died Dec. 7 in Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Surviving are her husband, George Daly; a daughter, Joan Scandiffio of Middletown; a son, Richard Garone of Bridgeville, Del.; a stepson, George Daly of Atlanta; two brothers, John Castagna of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Richard Castagna of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Michele Keller of Hazlet; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Agnes Church, Atlantic Highlands. Interment was in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

William J. Machat

Mr. Machat, 78, of Matawan, formerly of South Amboy, died Dec. 5 in Madison Center, Old Bridge. His wife, Vilma Zamorski Machat, died in 1998. Surviving are his children, Christine Fabiszewski of Sayreville, Esther Jenkins of the Forked River section of Lacey, David and Peter Machat of Bound Brook and Philip Machat of the Brick Town section of Brick; two brothers, Stephen Machat of South Plainfield and Edward Machat of Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. Private services were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville.

James Lynch

Mr. Lynch, 68, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Old Bridge, died Nov. 22 in Delray Beach Hospital. He was a former member and past president of the Old Bridge Township Board of Education. He retired as a captain from the Old Bridge Police Department. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Wyzykowski Lynch; a son, Kevin James Lynch of Cherry Hill; a daughter, Patricia Ann Lynch of Delray Beach; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.

William Bauries

Mr. Bauries, 81, of East Brunswick, formerly of Milltown, died Nov. 30 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was employed as a manager of development engineering for Personal Products, Milltown, where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Antoinette Pepitone Bauries; two sons, William A. Bauries of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Robert J. Bauries of Piscataway; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Anna Bruhn Fratto

Mrs. Fratto, 81, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 2 at home. Her husband, Alfred Fratto, died in 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Czarnecki of East Brunswick; a brother, William Bruhn of East Brunswick; four sisters, Doris Dodd of California, Janet Palermo of Allentown, Pa., Elaine Szegeti of South River and Marilyn Wojciechowski of Florida; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Leona C. Luker Hankinson

Mrs. Hankinson, 93, of South River, died Dec. 12 in Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge. Her husband, Wilbur E. Hankinson, died in 1966. Surviving is a son, John Hankinson of Monroe. Services are planned for 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown.

Joseph P. Robe

Mr. Robe, 62, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Dec. 7 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was a chemical operator for nine years at National Lead Inc., Sayreville, prior to entering the New Jersey State Police Academy, Sea Girt, in 1973. After retiring from the state police as a detective in 1989, he was a self-employed private investigator with J. Robe Investigations, Parlin. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Kantor Robe; four daughters, Renee Robe Osterbye of Jackson, Darlene and Justine Robe of Parlin and Dawn Marie Sandoval of Ewing; a sister, Eleanor Stefanski of Middletown; a granddaughter; and two nieces and four nephews. A service was held at John Calvin Magyar Reformed Church, Perth Amboy. Interment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

John J. Jensen Jr.

Mr. Jensen, 66, of Monroe, died Nov. 30 at home. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was a captain in the detective bureau at the East Brunswick Police Department, where he worked for more than 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie Zicchino Jensen; four sons, John Jensen III and David Jensen, both of Monroe, Eric Jensen of Hamilton and Anthony Jensen of East Brunswick; a daughter, Lisa Jensen-DiIorio of Illinois; and 13 grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Marie T. Mangone Liloia

Mrs. Liloia, 84, of East Brunswick, formerly of Edison, died Dec. 11 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Surviving are her husband, Ralph; a son, Ralph Liloia Jr. of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a daughter, Valerie J. Reister of Jackson; a brother, Louis Mangone of Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on Dec. 15 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. James J. Moran

Mr. Moran, 37, of South Amboy, died Dec. 12 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as a truck driver for Waste Management, Matawan. Before that, he worked as a tow truck driver with Julian’s Towing, Sayreville. He was a member of Mechanicsville Hose Company, South Amboy, for 19 years, where he served as chief driver and past captain. Surviving are his wife, Laura Cordes Moran; a son, James J. Jr., and a daughter, Jaime Lee, both at home; his mother and stepfather, Donna and Gary Treffinger of Clifton; his father, James Moran of South Amboy; a brother, William F. Moran of South Amboy; and a sister, Sawyer Treffinger of Clifton. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 15 at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, also South Amboy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Moran Family Fund, c/o Ed Sena, 14 Lillian St., Fords, NJ 08863.
