Betty Jane Collins Travinski

Mrs. Travinski, 72, of Sayreville, died Dec. 21 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. Travinski, in 2003; and a son, Robert D. Travinski, in 1989. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Edward R. Luma Jr. of Sayreville; a son, Daniel Travinski of Morgan; a daughter-in-law, Connie Travinski of Toms River; two sisters, Dorothy Griffin of Woodbridge, and Rosemarie Sass of Arizona; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Visitation will be Dec. 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. A funeral service will be Dec. 24 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Dr. Mohammed W. Haque, M.D.

Dr. Haque, 87, of Sayreville, died Dec. 18 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was an attending physician at South Amboy Memorial Hospital and at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Dr. Haque is survived by his wife, Gloria Haque; two daughters and one son-in-law, Yasmin Haque and Raymond Pagliaro of Hamden, Conn., and Camille Haque of North Brunswick; a son, Christopher Haque of Sayreville; and one grandson. Entombment took place at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, Franklin. The Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, was in charge of arrangements. George M. Sichta Jr.

Mr. Sichta, 84, of South River, died Dec. 13 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was a foreman at E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 40 years. His wife, Mildred Pacyna Sichta, died in 1990. Surviving are a son, George R. Sichta of Sayreville; a brother, John of East Brunswick; and a granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Jason D. Kaufman

Mr. Kaufman, 24, of Sayreville, died Dec. 10 in Sayreville. Surviving are his parents, Regina and Carl Kaufman, with whom he lived; a daughter, Veronica Jade Kaufman; two brothers, Josh Kaufman of Sayreville and Erik Kaufman of the Parlin section of Sayreville; his maternal grandmother, Marie Floccari of Sayreville; his paternal grandparents, Harriet and Seymour Kaufman of Monroe; and his fianceƩ, Melissa Modrak of Barnegat. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Dorothy (Holmes) Holler

Mrs. Holler, 80, of Leisure Village, Manchester, Ocean County, died Dec. 15 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in South River, she had resided in Edison before moving to Manchester eight years ago. She was predeceased in 1992 by her husband, Joseph Holler. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sherry Holler, of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joseph Masseli, of Connecticut; a sister, Helen Foyle, of East Brunswick; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, followed by burial at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Robert A. Balzano

Mr. Balzano, 38, of Point Pleasant Boro, died Dec. 12 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He is survived by his wife, Yvette Napurano Balzano; his parents, Mary and Frank Balzano of Brick; his mother- and father-in-law, Angie and Donald Napurano of Sayreville; his maternal grandmother, Frances Fresco of Edison; a son and two daughters, Robert A. Balzano Jr., and Patricia Mary and Gina Marie, all at home; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank J. and Mary Balzano of Old Bridge; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Angela Culver of Sea Girt, and Frances May and Joe Florentine of Spring Lake; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Martha’s Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant. Interment was at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Wall Township. Arrangements were by Colonial Funeral Home, Brick. Memorial donations may be made to The Balzano’s Children’s Fund, 2319 Cardinal Drive, Point Pleasant 08742.
